All our poles are harvested from our farm and surrounding neighbouring farms in the Overberg District.

From there the pine poles are transported to the peeling and CCA Treatment plant at Berplaas Le Grange Family Farm where the debarking process takes place.

We use debarking machines specially engineered for “Pinus Pinaster” pine that grows wild  there for our  pole products  are more robust and harder than normal forestry poles.

Droppers and laths follow the same process. Their peeling takes place via a machine imported from Germany.

We can manufacture Pine Poles up to 3.6 meters in length and longer lengths are sourced in Eucalyptus Grandes (Gum) from reputable suppliers in Mpumalanga and KZN.

Each pole diameter is measured at the top (thin side) and then divided into these basic categories:

Pole Classes:

  • (2) 50mm - 80mm
  • (3) 80mm - 100mm
  • (4) 100mm - 120mm
  • (5) 120mm - 140mm

Gum Pole Classes:

  • (2) 50mm - 75mm
  • (3) 75mm - 100mm
  • (4) 100mm - 125mm
  • (5) 125mm - 150mm

All our poles are CCA treated and SATAS approved. CCA is an acronym for "Copper, Chrome and Arsenic". The Copper and Chrome compounds in the mixture are the preservative. Arsenic guarantees that no timber-eating insects damage the poles you purchased.

All our poles are treated with CCA to level H4. In accordance with SAWPA (South African Wood Preservers Association), H4 treated poles are suitable for ground contact and periodic wetting.

These Poles are ideal for agricultural posts, landscaping, structures, decking, verandas, thatch roofs, feeding areas, game fencing, pergola, lapas and much more.
